Press Releases:
August 2002 - Drag Racing News
"Paul Kelsch lives in Ontario, N.Y., with his mother Linda, father, Bob and brother, Todd. He's a Glazier at Rochester Glass Inc. Kelsch has been racing for 3 years in Super Street/Hot Rod (10.90) class and won the Top 8 Race at Maple Grove's division one event this year.
His sanitary 1969 Camaro is powered by a 500 c.i. Merlin BBC with Lunati components and a Holley carburetor. He uses a Biondo throttle stop and delay and Altronics components to slow the car down for the 10.90 index. Competition Transmission & Converters built the transmission and converter, which is coupled to a GM 12 bolt rear end. Phoenix slicks on Centerline wheels plant the Camaro to a tune of 9.80's at 137 mph all out. Not bad considering the Camaro weighs in at a stout 3400 pounds. Bob Mohr applied the paint and lettering. The chassis was reworked by Mad Mark's Welding Service. The interior is all stock except for the necessary gauges to keep track of things.
Sponsors include EDCS (Employee Development Consulting Services), Biondo Racing Products, Mad Mark's Welding Service, Rochester Glass and Matt Pettine Racing Engines. Crew members include Bob, Linda and Todd Kelsch, Bryan Schiff, Jeff Monscour and Katie Steinmetz.
Kelsch offers special thanks to his Dad and Mom, Todd, Bryan, Bob Mohr, Mark Knapp, Katie Steinmetz, Matt Pettine, Jim Moss, Sal Biondo, Dean Olschewski, Jeff Monscour, Mike Sheedy, Greg Sonneville, Webster Automotive, EDCS, Dan Fletcher and George Pease and Drag Racing News."
